The Office of the City Engineer is responsible for conducting and maintaining all surveys, maps, plans, drawings, and cost estimates for public works projects. Additionally, the office ensures compliance with codified ordinances and state and federal regulations related to residential subdivisions, new construction, site plan reviews, floodplain management, and stormwater control. The City Engineer’s office also assesses the quality of every street in the City, providing recommendations, overseeing bidding, and managing contracts for repairs and resurfacing.
