The City of Maple Heights is excited to announce that the asphalt paving work on the Southgate Park Boulevard Reconstruction Project is complete, and the street has fully reopened to two-way traffic on schedule.

Karvo Companies, Inc. began working on the Southgate Park Boulevard Reconstruction Project in May 2026.   The project consists of concrete base repairs, asphalt resurfacing, ADA upgrades, new pavement markings, and signage on Southgate Park Boulevard from Northfield Road to Warrensville Center Road.  This is a “Complete Streets Reconstruction Project” funded in part by NOACA, under the TLCI program, resulting in the reconfiguration of the roadway striping to allow for one lane of vehicle travel and a buffered bike lane in each direction along with a center left turn only lane.

Karvo has substantially completed all work within the roadway except for a portion of the auxiliary pavement markings, crosswalk signage, and remaining minor punch list items.  Those last few items will be completed in the coming days, weather permitting.  Although the road is fully open to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, workers will still be present to complete the remaining items.  Please continue to proceed with caution through the work zone for your safety and the safety of the construction workers.

The Southgate Park Boulevard Reconstruction Project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation and the City will continue to provide project updates as required.  Thanks for your patience as the City and ODOT work to complete these much-needed improvements.
